Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA)
Prudential regulator for the financial services industry. It oversees banks, credit unions, building societies, general insurance and reinsurance companies, life insurance and friendly societies. APRA also supervises complying superannuation funds other than self-managed superannuation funds (DIY funds), which are supervised by the Australian Tax Office.
